What is a lightning channel?
This was me on a community call a few years ago. “People have to open it to do what?”
Frantically takes notes on her book. Nods head and continues to listen.
Back then we did not have ChatBTC and while there was content in the guide about lightning channels there’s a high likelihood that I had not visited it at that point.
Now we have tools and resources being built by incredible people in the ecosystem to understand and make sense of bitcoin technology. What’s more we can chat with that knowledge and develop an understanding of our own.
Thought it would be good to shine a light on resources that are in the community for you as a builder to use.
Bitcoin Design Guide: A treasure trove which is packed with reference designs for almost everything you can think of + technological concepts made easy.
ChatBTC: Chat with a technological bitcoin database
Bitcoin UX research toolkit: Don’t have a UX designer/researcher on the team, this works as a recipe book to do research quickly and get insight
Bitcoin UI Kit: A design foundation for building your bitcoin product
This week also had the pleasure of jumping on a bunch of calls but also creating a project plan to understand the needs of bitcoin users in Uganda. Visual of how AI helped to put the plan together.
Then sorted through the data of the UX research toolkit so that it could “talk ”. Data speaks, it tells a story of what’s really going on in a particular area. Making product iterations based on data is then something which I dove into later this week.
Also had a session with Yashraj to work on the AssumeUTXO’s prototyping and consolidating the user flows which we worked on during the first session.
That’s a wrap. I’ll be totally offline for the next 2 weeks taking a step back and shutting down the work brain.
✌🏽In the meantime happy building, learning and staying curious.
